What color for trim with sea salt wall?

I just starting to paint the sea salt. It seem nice but I am concern about trim and door. I already painted white ceiling Benjamin Moore. Can I use white dove or soft white(specific?) for trim and door even with white ceiling and white bathroom vanity? I am trying to look for calm feeling in bathroom.

Usually we use the same white trim color throughout our homes, not different whites in each room. What do you have in the other rooms of your house?

Color looks lovely. When doing the shower curtain, get it up as close to ceiling as possible.

Let me see if I can find a pic. Will really add to the room.

The wall color looks great! You don't need anything except the blinds on the window. For art above the toilet, look for something slightly larger than what you have - maybe a landscape or something natural that has the dark greens like your plant. For the shower curtain, you can use a textured white or linen colored one, or something simple like this one from Target. Check the color against your paint swatch.

It looks so pretty! Very calming! Not sure about SW trim in white, but BM Chantilly lace is my favorite pure white. Great job!

Something like that. Usually my style is Pottery Barn...

Have you considered using a privacy film instead of the blinds on the window?

A curved shower rod will increase elbow room when showering. Here's a pic of a double rod.

Hang a clear, extra long shower curtain on the inside rod and pretty, lightweight drapes or a shower curtain on the outside rod. The clear curtain stays tucked in the tub to drain after showers and can be easily removed for washing or replacement and the drapes/curtain stay stationary unless more privacy is wanted during showering.

Tuesday Morning has inexpensive lightweight drapes. As Angel suggested, hang as high up as you can, measuring before installing the rod to make sure the drapes just skim the floor.

I also agree with Calidesign's suggestions for new artwork and keeping the existing window blinds. Your new paint looks pretty and fresh!

What do you think of something like this for over the toilet?

@Mary44. Not sure.. I just went quick shopping. I’m trying to figure it out. I bought few things. I have a hard time to get some colorful but it seem off. So I guess the white color looks better . Any advice?

@sue g, it is about 25 years ago, I bought them at Porcelanosa.

The white towels look better. More spa like. No to the stripe.

If I put two towels in the rack. It looks too big overlap. What should I do?

If you go on Youtube there is lots of help as to hanging towels and folding towels.

    here is one example.

What about a double towel bar rack...then you can stagger the towels.

An easy fix is to fold the towels in thirds, not in half. Also, gonna nag you to please consider moving your tension shower rod higher and getting an extra long curtain that skims the floor. I think you'll be surprised at how much better it looks for a relatively inexpensive cost. If you can't return the one you have, consider lengthening the one you have by sewing a band of fabric at the bottom like in the above photo.

If this is a bathroom you will be using all the time I suggest the double towel bar. IMO it would be a real pain to fold each time "pretty". If it is just for decorative purposes then the other methods suggested would be okay.

I was thinking to add couple hook to drill behind the door for using towels everyday.

What a reason about shower rod higher?

Good idea. Just use those 3m removable hooks, then no drilling required.

That's what we did and they held for years.

We don't have photos of all the walls, another possibility is to hang a nice robe hook or two where you can easily reach a towel from the end of the shower (not near the toilet paper).

A curtain that is hung higher and is longer draws the eye upward and gives the illusion of height which really boosts the feeling of spaciousness in a small room. Also, you wouldn't hang drapes on windows and leave several inches off the floor because it looks choppy and unfinished -it's the same principle with a shower curtain. It's a small thing to pay attention to that helps the room feel polished and more luxurious.

    Thank you!

Tough part about above the toilet. I can’t think of any better idea. I fixed the towels. Not bad idea. I moved the shower curtain higher a bit. I couldn’t find what I like the extra long shower curtain.

It looks great! Very spa-like. Wondering if you can find fabric that will coordinate and, depending on how handy you are, maybe add that to the top (or bottom) to add length to the existing shower curtain

So happy to see this color! I hope to use it soon!

Looks great. Love the crisp white shower curtain. Very inviting.

You did a great job. Looks lovely. Do you sew or know someone who does???

So you can lengthen the shower curtain. I don't think you will be able to find

one longer. It's a DIY job to get the right size
