How do you create natural corners on a faux stone wrapped fireplace?

Hi, we are building a home and ordered a stone veneer to wrap the fireplace. We were told by the builders design center that the stone came with corner pieces so when installed the fireplace would look more like natural stone. The stone came in and was installed with no corner pieces, and a cut edge all the way up the side. The design center is now telling us that this stone does not come with corner pieces. Does anyone know a solution to make this installation look more natural? They are willing to take it down and reinstall with interlocking corners, however I'm afraid that will leave a cut edge on every other stone piece all the way up the fireplace. Any advice from you stone installers or designers? TIA.
