BM Manchester Tan vs SW Realist Beige? Kilim Beige?

Intrigued with SW Realist Beige which was just suggested in another thread. I am wondering how it compares to Manchester Tan (BM)? I am not home, and won't be for a few weeks but am considering Manchester Tan at my home... have lots of time thanks corona to figure this all out. Curious if anyone can weight in?

Good input from Hue & Home. I would add these colors need to be considered with flooring, natural light available and your furnishings and rugs. These are all less light and bright than are trending today. Say more about spaces and finishes so we can give more precise insights. Photos if you have any would be very helpful.

Curious - what do you mean they are less light and bright than trending today?

What great information- thank you! I am not home (at DD awaiting new baby. Crazy times, we were afraid of a full lock down so I have already been here a week and waiting... enjoying grandkids 2 and 3). We were to do a kitchen remodel starting this week but everything is on hold and I now have time to re-think my options on paint and a few other things.

The floor is a tile which really changes color a lot. I do have a pic on my computer of the flooring with the cabinet colors and countertop selected.

Putting in canned lights as well as decorative pendants and undercabinet lighting.

In person when I brought home samples, I thought Manchester Tan looked very good. (can't remember some of the other contenders now). On a different thread Yaya had mentioned Realist Beige and I quite liked that.

When things go back to normal I will give it a look in the setting.

Hope all goes well with baby. When is h/she due? In answer to your question, what I meant is these colors are less "light reflective" than the off-whites more popular today. If you kitchen has a lot of windows, then any of the colors you mentioned would be OK. Realist Beige has an LRV of 59 (on a scale of 0-100; 100 being most reflective of light, ie. brighter to the eye); Manchester Tan has an LRV of 64; and Kilim Beige has an LRV of 57. Colors to consider are SW Natural Choice LRV 74; SW Egret White LRV 70; and SW Creamy LRV 81. All need to be compared to your cabinet color to ensure the right tone is achieved. You can order samples of the colors in 12x12 sheets for around $6.00 each from samplize.com. I use them all the time, because in the long run it is cheaper and no bottles of paint to dispose of and no purchase of foam boards, brushes and making the samples up. Plus, you get a real true sample of the color. Might try at least say 2-3 of your favorites if you can. Our SW store is taking call ins for chips for curb pick up. You could get all those chips and then decide what few to get the larger samples of so you can contrast and compare. Best of luck with the baby! I can't imagine being pregnant right now and I hope everything goes really well.

I know you are asking about paint, and it could just be my monitor, but the tile looks like it has a pinkness to it, and the countertop a yellowness. Not sure they work that well together.

Thank you @Flo Mangan actually I believe I had Creamy and Egret White as possibilities so will look again. (pretty sure I had Creamy). That is a great explanation with the LRV. Oops editing to add, due first week in April but has always been early, and with the 3rd..... and with the threat of lockdown....... an ounce of precaution to be here "just in case".....

@bgs990 I appreciate your comment totally- that was a concern I had at the yard so we brought home the chunk and in person it really is great. I have moved it all around the floor because it is so variable (the floor tiles) to see Where I took the photo is just one example and I know it is not perfect but I needed to also prop up the cabinet samples to be perpendicular to the floor and counter color. Both DH and I really like the way it goes in the actual setting.

Very valuable feedback as always here!

I have BM Manchester Tan in my whole house now. Started with it in a bathroom and really loved the color and slowly it has been painted in the whole house except my DDs room and our laundry/mudroom. It is a color that seems to go with every wood tone and every color in our house. We are planning a new build house and I think I may just do the same color there.

I had a guest bedroom painted Kilim beige in my old house. It is a darker color and also more brownish beige. I installed new carpet in that room when selling and the color wasn't as great with the carpet, but I went for low cost and had fewer choices. After the carpet install it looked more pinkish. The paint chip against the carpet looked ok and so did the carpet sample in the room. Just wasn't as forgiving a color to work with many options.

Praying for best situation for your daughter her family and YOU. GLAD to help on paint. On the stone you picked. Remember you will have separation of cabinets from floor so I believe you will be ok.
