I don't know about Houston, but in coastal CA I already have small fruit on my mature (~5YO) Anna and Golden Dorsett trees. I also have a 5 type combo with Anna and Golden Dorsett, which was container planted this Feb and it has leaves and has just started flowering.

Interesting, i am just north of Fort Worth and my multigraft tree with Anna and GD bloomed at the end of Feb and the GD has set some fruit (the tree is only 2 years in the ground so not expecting much). These bloomed much earlier than any of my other apples which are just finishing up now (Mutsu, Ghost, Winter Banana, Granny Smith, and Red Love) and my Arkansas Black is just started blooming this week.

Anna did bloom about a week before GD for me as well. I know they often recommend the two together, but it looks like the blooms don't really line up well.
