Hire a designer. Have a 100K+ budget. With expectations of negative resale value for any bathroom open to a bedroom. That’s a huge NO for almost everyone.

I am confused at what you want. Sorry! Are you wanting to enlarge the bathroom by using the closet space or using part of the bedroom space? Or are you wanting to keep the bathroom the same size and make it look GRAND?

You said you wanted to see inside the bathroom from the outside. Does "outside" mean from the large room? You still want the bathroom as a separate room, right? I hope so, because bathrooms have a lot of moisture (and smells) that needs to removed with a vent.

Is the large area (with the desk) a living room? How big is it? I can tell you from experience that XL bedrooms have just as many issues as XS bedrooms. Our master bedroom is about 32 ft x 28 ft and there is a lot of open floor space which is wasted. We have a king size bed, 2 end tables, 2 bookcases, a double dresser, a double gentleman's hutch (dresser), a 55" TV and built in entertainment center/shelving, a loveseat, two recliners, a Bow-Flex, and a huge treadmill. We are currently remodeling the upstairs, so the master bedroom is holding a lot of stuff.

A XL bedroom is too easy to fill up with junk, and we had nowhere else to put the exercise equipment. Plus, I can look out at the lake view while I use the treadmill.
