Cool rope work

I am wanting to do about 5 feet of this type of rope railing for my sons loft bed. Does this rope work have a certain pattern name, or do you know a place where I could get some instruction on trying this myself? Greatly work!

I just tried a few patterns and made it work. The holes are drilled every 4", then i tied a double knot on one end and shoved it through the hole in each one. Then tied a square knot at each cross over. Very time consuming, it took days to do this., but for 4' it should take long
