I bought 2 Dee-Lish bare roots based entirely on it's awards plus I need a brighter pink to add some vitality to my pale colors. If I didn't make a deliberate effort to add deeper colors, my entire garden would be washed out, pale and uninteresting.

I love it in your garden and would leave it to enjoy there. I see what you mean about seeming to be lit from within. It is more luminous than the other roses in the pic.

I'm adding a mixed border to edge my patio and that's where one or both will go, so I'm happy to hear it really does have a good scent, and the glowing part is icing on the cake.

Dee-lish is a great garden rose. That's what it's meant for. I doubt it was ever intended to be a cut rose. It was always covered with lots of cheery blooms in my garden!

Turn out your lights and put the cut flower in a windowsill to see if it looks different. Mine look the same color, outdoors and in. It does make a good cut flower, lasting about 5 days.
