They grow wild on my prop. It could be a paradise for you :-)

I love saskatoons as well, they grow in abundance in my region, juicy delicious blueberry / almond flavor! Years ago, I planted ten small 'Smoky' saskatoon bushes, four or five years later, I was picking 33 ice cream pails full of them! I need to plant more at the new place, someone had mentioned of a variety they like even more than 'Smoky'. I'll have to check on that again!

Given that they seem to grow in (all) the western provinces I wonder why I don't hear about it being grown in Ontario.

They grow here to but usually we only get a good crop every few years, rains at the right time is a big thing. I bought some Honeywood but have yet to sample any, birds and other critters beat me to them. I have a few packages of them in the freezer as last year was a stellar saskatoon year here.
