not many things just die due to lack of sun ... they are usually just ugly.. lol ..

Mine is on the shady side of the garden. It does need plenty of moisture.

I've grown it in almost full shade. Never any issues with it thriving and blooming well. Generally blooming too well :-))

I haven't had mine long, but from what I've observed they do fine in part shade.

In my garden they like to seed into the paving. They much prefer it to the flowerbeds.

Yes, I introduced it to my newly made garden 20 years ago. Now it's a self-seeding menace really, but pretty, I admit I have to curtail it, dead head so it isn't wall-to-wall alchemilla. Prolific flowering, prefers sunny, but grows in dappled. Here it's free draining Cotswolds, alkaline stony soil, gravel too. Its the soil & drainage that counts.

Mine survive but don't spread as I'd hoped. I think the deficit is moisture more than light.

Ladies mantle grows anywhere and everywhere here. It does reseed like crazy, I do dead head it religiously now to keep it under control.

I have some in heavy shade and they are growing very slowly when compared to LM in mostly sun. My shady area should have adequate moisture as the roots of the tree providing shade are fairly far away. There is astilbe near it, which requires moisture, and it is thriving, although not very tall, also. Seem that they both would prefer more sun.
