Recommendation for a floorplanner program to help me plan window sizes

Hi All,

We are planning a renovation and I'm working on planning window placement and sizes. I've used some online floorplanner programs but I haven't yet found one that will let me take a sloped ceiling into account. The ceiling at its highest is just short of 12 feet sloping down to 7 feet at its lowest.

I've attached a photo of the current wall of windows.

This wall will be pushed out 8 feet in the new addition and the wall on the right of the photo is coming down to open up into the kitchen. But rather than having the windows angled at the top, the way they are now, I want to square them off.

I've also attached a photo of another room with a window that we want to match the style.

Any recommendations for a planner program or drawing program that will allow me to input the height of the ceiling and work with sizes of windows to fill the space?

Who is drawing it up? The framing renderings should indicate sizes of the windows and much of that is going to be relegated by the beam and framing sizes required to handle the extension and bump out.

Windows on Washington Ltd, Yes, of course, there are going to be formal drawings, but I'm trying to decide how I want it to look, what the heights of the windows can be etc. I do understand your point that framing etc dictates much of this, but I'm working on ideas and aesthetics. Then when I meet with the person doing the plans I will have firm ideas on what I want it to look like.

Do you have a suggestion for a planner I might use?

Can't be of much help on that front. My eye for design is, shall we say, limited. Seems to me that there are a bunch of designers on here that weigh in from time to time. Maybe post some more pictures of the exterior facade or try one of the other sub-forums that is more "remodeling" specific?

IMO forget that top window no matter what either do a transom all across or nothing.
