The bottom windows look black and IMO what you need is to paint the siding and trim and door something like this then do a charcolal roof again.

Thanks Patricia but the windows are definitely dark brown. As is the trim. its currently maintenancefree so I don’t think we want to start painting that. (Though I do like that siding color)

Why not stay with a warm charcoal color? I'd make the dormer identical to the trim around the front windows and the porch gable. It looks lighter now. I like your brick.

You have a very pretty house! I think either charcoal or dark brown would work well for the roof; I would just be sure to hold the roof samples up to your bricks to be sure nothing clashes. I agree with P Banos that you should make the dormer match the gable and window trim.

Thank you! Yes the dormer has faded to a reddish brown. (Along with the still-to-be replaced upstairs windows. 😕. ) But I think you’re right: it should match the gable in front. I will look at charcoal and dark brown roof shingles!
