Not a pro - it may be difficult to comment on the layout without a picture taken from the opposite direction. Although the existing pattern and color of the rug is awesome, I'd replace it with something much larger so it fits under the furniture and extends almost to the TV console. Re-think the color of the green wall (perhaps something a little less intense that ties into a color in the rug?). Take the wee items off the green wall and put up some fun art around the TV. I'd also replace the brown blinds with white blinds, but only if they're really needed for privacy. A clear coffee table would be nice on a bold patterned rug. A larger lamp would help too.

You have done well furnishing a small room. I would paint the green wall a lighter green...it’s pretty but intense.
The clock and the picture are too high, particularly the clock. When you close your blinds, turn the slats up for
more privacy. A larger lamp would be more in scale with your furniture. Add another piece or two of art when you find something you love. So far, so good!
