Hi! I would be interested. I am already growing some astro myriostigma seeds right now. They are doing well, but I have only been growing them for perhaps 2 months. I'd probably share my seeds with my partner as well.

However, if someone else does not have easy access to astro seeds and wants them, they can feel free to take them instead. My partner's astros are likely going to flower again this year so I can always just wait a bit :)

Also, I have mostly only seen astro myriostigma with smooth surfaces (not necessarily nudum, but the overall shape is a round star). Is having "wrinkles" like yours special in any way?

A. myriostigma has a number of cultivars with different ridges, bumps, ad markings. Growers in Japan have developed a lot of these. The one on the left in my photo came from Star Astrophytum. It was labeled A. myriostigma benjaku F1. The one on the right is A. myriostigma cv Kikko. It was a degrafted one that I got off Ebay from China. I had to root that one after I received it.

Esther, I plant my seeds in a mix of fine pumice and a bit of coir (mostly pumice). I dampen the mix and microwave it for about 8 minutes to sterilize it, then let it cool. I barely cover the seeds, spray with water, and put the pot in a plastic box or baggie. I put them on a heating mat under lights. For me, Astrophytum seeds usually start germinating after about 5 days or so.
