Would like Kitchen Portable cart suggestions for small kitchen

I would like to add a small portable cart for additional prep space in my kitchen. I looked at Boos and since I have my current "stainless shelf" that I am testing for size (19x24x36), I kinda like the stainless look. Any ideas for a cart or if I remove the kitchen eat in table (42" round) could l do a small peninsula type island with a couple of seats? If so, any recommendations for that? I really do not have much counter prep space which is what I am trying to gain as well as a landing spot for groceries and stuff from the frig.

Boos has wonderful work tables in depths of 24inches. They have varying lenths, 24, 36, 48 and 60 inches. I purchased a 2x4ft walnut boos butcher block counter piece and added my own legs and skirt and made my own work table for hundreds less than their harvest table. It is not quite as pretty as theirs but it has held up beautifully for many years and we cut, place hot dishes on it and eat breakfast and lunch on it daily. I highly recommend their tops. They have loads of stainless steal options too.

It would help to see a layout with measurements, but it looks as though you have room for a small island. Consider trying one from IKEA.

The range w hood would go over where toaster is on the L part of perimeter. The fridge would skooch to far left by the closet door . This would tighten things up. You don’t lack: you have incorrect positions of the main elements. Redo your kitchen but for now a country style work table is a nice option as shown by roar above.

I have attached measurements for my kitchen. I was thinking that I could do a 24Wx36L portable work table. Do you all think this size would work? I am trying to make it so it is not a barrier.

Unfortunately, the layout will have to stay as is for now, but would love to move stove and get rid of downdraft Jenn Aire! Roarah, your work table is wonderful.

It will be a barrier because of positions of stove / fridge from sink. Get it anyway. You seem to need it and later it can be repurposed. I might try Craig’s list first. See what is out there. used Can be full of beautiful character and wear.

I'm a huge fan of stainless restaurant worktables. I currently have 3 (in the absence of any built-in cabinetry)--two 4x2 and one 2x2. Check out restaurant supply stores or sites. From what I can recall of Boos prices, I would expect a restaurant supply store to be cheaper, and you know they are sturdy since they are built for the restaurant industry.
