Desparately seeking a match for this blue/green upholstery fabric

Just found out that two couches and two chairs a furniture store was storing for us were all covered in the wrong fabric! It is a long story, but now were are trying to find the matching fabric for the couches as we are told it has been discontinued. We are trying to cancel the whole darn screwed up order with the store (they made multiple errors), and none of the pieces were what we ordered.

Can you please help me find the light green/blue fabric in the MIDDLE of this picture? Kindly ignore the shiny teal fabric and the more navy tweed. This light blue/green was a lightweight fabric with some sheen to it. It has some grey/silver undertones. It was not tweed. We are not even sure of the fabric maker as the furniture store no longer has the sample. It might have been Decor-Rest (we have sent them the photo, too).

The furniture was covered in the wrong fabric? I am sure you are very disappointed, but it is not your problem because it was not your fault. You will never find a match to the fabric…for no other reason will be that any new cut will not have come off the original bolt.

Don’t mess around with this store and don’t back off. Politely tell them about the reviews you will write. Tell them you will see them in small claims court.

The Trial Court System is there for you. It’s easy to do. You can file on-line. Follow the directions.

Sounds dramatic, and, it is. When a company cheats you, that company will cheat others.

You write a bad review, you take the business into court. You will win and you will save others from making a bad choice.

Who is the manufacturer of the furniture? Not that the info will help …just interested.

I think it is Decor-Rest. We hope this company will do the right thing and give us our deposit back. If not, we will absolutely write lots of negative reviews. My guess, is they will at best give us a credit to be used in their store for the amount of the deposit. I would love to walk away with my deposit. I did find on the Decor-Rest website fabric that looks similar to the couches we ordered, but not identical. The furniture store we ordered from does not have that sample in their store. However, we are going to drive to another store in a nearby city to see the Stella Sky sample (top row, middle colour below).

We don't need to match these couches with an existing piece of furniture, so if the Stella Sky is pleasing to us, it won't matter if it came from a different bolt than the sample we looked at in their store.

Too much time has passed for small claims court (over 2 years ago). We have a great deal of hearsay evidence of their multiple screw ups including not only the fabric error, but also the fact that we did not give the final go ahead on the project (which was why they agreed to store it for us for the extended period of time).

Here is the original colour and then Stella Sky on its own. Matching them close together, it sure looks like the new Stella Sky fabric is a lot more green/blue and the original fabric had more grey in it and was lighter.

Great news. We did the legwork and did find the exact fabric that we had chosen for the couches. The store who made multiple mistakes told us it was discontinued, but Decor-Rest and a competitive store state there is no problem getting the fabric. The square of fabric above, is actually the correct fabric. The one we photographed with the stone samples was actual the reverse side of the fabric.

So, does that mean the pieces were done in the fabric you originally chose? If not, are you still going to order through the first store or the competitive store?

No, the furniture that was ordered under our name was not done in the correct fabric. It was also ordered without our final approval or go ahead. We may be stuck giving the original store our business as it looks doubtful that they will refund our deposit money, but might give us a store credit note. Otherwise, I would love to give the business to the competitor store.
