I am going to be starting a paint project within the next week. I will be painting over walls with a heavy knockdown texture that are currently painted with a semi gloss paint. The color will not be changing. How should I prep (tsp, sanding, etc.) the walls to accept the same type (semi gloss and the same color) of paint? This is a small apartment that will be rented out by the 1st of September. My understanding is that I will not need to apply primer except in the areas where I have patched over nail holes and scuff marks. Should I apply 1 coat or 2? What nap roller sleeve should I use? I will be cutting in using a Wooster angled brush and rolling the walls with an 18" roller.
