Figuring out what hardware to use for master bathroom vanity

I am finally almost done with my master bathroom and trying to figure out hardware placement. I have rendered some pictures as best as I can using Power Point and would love input. I am planning on using longer pulls on each side on the fake drawers under the sinks, probably 6" and the other pulls around 4". I am trying to decide on the following:

  • if I should use knobs or pulls on the cabinets
  • if I should use pulls or knobs on the tower drawers, which are very narrow

I am also open to other configurations. I also have different light fixtures because I am still trying to figure that out as well and would love any feedback!

Thanks!

I like the middle pic, left option. has the black and the gold.

I did black and gold w/mine, but did gold mirrors.

I think that you would be better off with sconces on either side of the mirrors rather than a lamp over the mirror.

Overhead lamps cast unattractive shadows that make it very difficult to apply cosmetics in any realistic way, and make it difficult to shave the lower part of the face and the neck.

I am also wondering about how many outlets you have in the bathroom.

People use a lot of electric devices in the bathroom these days-

electric toothbrush, water pik, electric razor, hair dryer, hair curler, and I'm sure there are more that I can't think of at the moment.

And some of these need to be charged in between uses.

There should be outlets (with GFCI) next to both sinks, and the bathroom would be really improved if there was some sort of charging station in closed storage somewhere.

The tower is the most convenient place.

I like knobs for the two small drawers in the tower.

Did you forget towel bars for hand and face towels alongside each sink?

Thanks for your feedback. Pretty bathroom!

There are outlets on both sides of the sink and in the tower. I originally thought I was going to do sconces, but then I thought it may look too crowded?

My contractor suggested that the long pulls on the fake drawers be used for hand towels but then I realized that would get in the way of opening cabinets. So I will add towel rings on the side. More focused on lighting and hardware since those are going to be installed immediately.

If you don't do the fixtures over the mirror and do the sconces on either side, it won't look crowded.

Also, you can do a ceiling fixture in addition.

Why are you using pulls at all on the fake drawers under the sink?

It makes no sense, and furthermore, do want a metal pull pressing into you when you lean into the mirror to see what you are doing? (Shaving, plucking your eyebrows, whatever?)

I would only do sconces on sides if I don't do a fixture over the mirror. I was wondering about pulls on the fake drawers. I read something about making it look more finished and even. Should I not?

I also thought a fixture above would be a nice way to incorporate the matte black and brass together

I would use the pulls on the lower middle drawers and two each of the same size pulls on the wide false drawers (Vs the wide pull in the center).

I would use knobs everywhere else, including the uppers.
