Help - Raccoon digging around plants

As you can see in the pictures, something is digging around the plants every night. Not sure if its raccoon or something else. Really appreciate any advice on how to stop their visits. Tried the solar charged ultrasonic animal repellent, cayenne pepper etc and it doesn't seem to work :( I have never seen grubs in the area's where its digging, but see lots of earth worms..

Whatever is probably looking for grubs for their dinner.

I've been having some very interesting holes dug in two of my biggest pots. I'm beginnine to wonder if they weren't actually sleeping holes for some animal to keep cool during this awful hot spell we've been having.

Must be the time of year for that digging because I'm seeing it too. Could be a raccoon, opossum or even a skunk. I do believe they are after earthworms. I have no suggestion for you, sorry! I just fill the holes in. Hope your critter isn't doing damage to plants.

I have to grow everything in one gallon pots before planting. Otherwise big racs pull everything out of the soil.
