Robin - sorry you're dealing with wet basement issues. We did one house with a major, major water problem and we ended up cutting out the concrete floor all the inside of the basement, digging a sump pit, digging out 12 inches of mud all around and laying perforated pipe with rock over and under then filling the trench with concrete. The sump pump ran almost continuously for months before everything finally dried up The first approach to the wet basement problem is make sure all your gutters are clean and the downspouts discharge far enough away from the foundation. Also, make sure the dirt/grass doesn't slope toward the house. If you're in a low spot, try to get the water redirected so it can't get too close to the house. For our house with the wet basement, we found that the problem was considerably less when we dug a drainage ditch about 15 feet from the house to channel the water coming down from the hill and driveway behind the house. A large capacity wet/dry vac is a good investment and comes in quite handy even though they do take quite a bit of room to store. Also, get at least one dehumidifer running to dry the air as well as running fans to circulate the air.

Will work on getting some photos later today or tomorrow. My budget for the whole house is 100-125k for the reno. Not sure how much of that will be needed on this particular space. I would say I want something open, wide plank floors and some texture. Like an accent wall with reclaimed wood or something like that. The center piece I want to be a large island that connects the three spaces together.

seabird66 Yours is GREAT! What a wonderful work environment. You must be extremely productive! :-) That is awesome. We (my sweetie) still needs to make shelves for in front of the windows. He did make me (1) three tier unit, per my instructions, but once done, I didn't like it. It was similar to the base's. The bases I like, but the 2 shelves above them will now have a 2" face board instead of a 4" face board. It was way too bulky and eye intrusive. Totally distracted our view. Now, he is going to construct a 2" face board with a 4" wide depth board, that will be routed out to hold securely the metal shelving that will rest within. Of course there will be additional strength supports that will be hidden. So as to not have any warping or shifting as well as provide stability, I am a somewhat of an "Aesthetic OCD" kind of person. Therefore the 2 bases and 1 bench. What I am looking for is 2 shelves on top of the bases, that can be removed when not needed. AND, something that is not going to produce too many permanent holes in the white washed pine walls. After tons of researching, I think I have found the solution. He is going to work on it this winter. This she shed / greenhouse is mostly 3 season. I had water run to the structure, and there is heat, but the water gets turned off in the winter. This is my very first winter with it. Who knows, maybe next summer I will have the water run to it PERMANENTLY Happy Growing Kathy :-)

That's an impressive little shed. Stone and stucco with poured concrete and I'm guessing it needs the same roofing materials? Very pretty. The $6K sounds reasonable. The 'expensive' finishes you see on your home have to be used to create this little gem. Expensive is expensive whether it is on a home or a shed. The roofing material and concrete slab are helping to add to that expense. You can purchase "run of the mill" garden sheds from Lowes for $4K....I pretty little unit like yours = $2K more than a "kit" at a DIY store. Sounds right.
