Half round gutters are usually associated with period homes, not a more modern home like yours.. One thing to think about is whether you can readily get things like gutter covers for half round gutters.

Landscaping, light fixtures, house numbers, the mailbox, things on the porch, painting the trim for more contrast - these might be better ways to add interest.

If you go with the larger K gutter, will you also need the larger downspouts?

Half round are almost double the price and unless you have a historic or historic looking house I see no advantage to getting them. Gutters should not be a feature on a house

I have half round, but it is a Spanish style house in CA, so it was the appropriate choice for the style of the house. My first choice would have been no gutters, but when it rains here, it really rains and you need to control the drainage. Gutters are utilitarian and not for added interest!

My architect spec'd half round. I went K during a round of cost cutting. I think half round would have looked nice on our modern home and I am kinda sorry I changed them.
