We have both traditional mortise locks as well as modern era bored door holes.

Will this knob work on both?

Good Morning Shelley! Yes this set is designed to work for either tubluar or mortise lock. However, the function of the plates will be different mortise lock vs tubular. Pictured is mortise lock privacy turn. To get privacy tube latch, the part # would be 1220.US14. Please note these do not come with either the mortise lock or the tubular latch. They are sold separatley.
