Beautiful table and chairs. Does the chair company make anything you'd be interested in?

Since you have the large window that everyone can see, are you sure you want to do a large mirror? What would the mirror reflect? Not many people want to look at themselves while eating. An oversized black and white architectural print or an abstract nature photograph would be nice.

Thank you all! I wasn’t ready to “showcase” the full room yet - it’s a work in progress- but I think even my unfinished space will help - there are 4 walls in the room 1 is all French doors and windows - two smaller walls I have picked art for. We got the canvas and love them, they are being framed now and should be done Saturday and ready for us to hang! The blue squiggles pic will be on the wall with the window, 2 red/yellow will be on the wall left of the French doors. It’s a smaller wall because it opens to our entryway. Attaching the art here - we got 3 inch white matting and a white border on all. That’s why I was thinking a mirror for the larger wall behind the dining table. Would art on 3 of the 4 walls be a lot? And I thought being reflected across from the French doors/ greenery could be nice? What do you all think ? (Ignore the other fabric and wood chairs in the pic, just using them till we get new ones- only grey leather will be staying in this room)

@allison0704 the chairs are from crate and barrel. They have them in other colors which I was debating just getting the same chair in another color. I’m not great at mixing and matching so that would be the simple thing for me to do :)

We were posting at the same time. I see you like blue. I would most definitely do art on the DR wall. Your windows are so nice and big! A mirror would not lend anything to the space. Definitely art. Something oversized and dramatic.

Can you lower the light fixture?

Unfortunately when they installed the lights they cut the cables so I don’t think we are able to.

Got the art in and up on the walls. ordered end chairs and a custom mirror that should be coming in about two weeks. Any suggestions for a rug? The couch and chairs are staying - will get a new coffee table. Open for suggestions on that too!

Big round, to help break up all the straight lines going on. Something not like the sofa color or dining table wood. Bring in another tone. C&B has several round options.

Thanks I love the drum one as well. Do you think the brown couch and dark coffee table will be too dark together? Or If I do a lighter rug do you think that could work?

You're asking someone whose last great room and den were basically brown. LOL. Here is a poorly done look at what it would look like. My thinking was the black/dark metal drum plays nicely off the art behind sofa and the DR chairs. With the light floors/walls and beautiful rug I think it's fine. Pull some of the rug's accent colors into the room with pillows, throw, art, accessories. Add a little bit of brass or matte silver, some textures (drum has some) with wicker and fabric (pillows).
