Color-lover looking for help with RUG and other accents

I finally received my American Leather sectional (Sunbrella sailcloth fabric), super happy with it, but now to decide on a rug.

I was thinking of getting the Nelson Lotus lamps to flank the sectional, what else??

What about something under the mirror...?

Thank you so much!

p.s. the painting will be framed with a matte and black frame.

I was thinking of this rug from Surya:

I think I might take apart the set and hang the largest one on the "blank" wall of our circular staircase. Thoughts? The rest will fit in my master. Or is that a mistake? In a bit, I'll get my husband to hold it and I'll snap another pic.

Here are two other pics so you get the sense I'm going for organic-modern?? maybe?

I’m looking for cushion help. I have a large leather cushion coming in saddle brown, and was thinking if layering it with another Mongolian fur cushion in light teal. Is that too much Mongolian fur? Lol.

Also, not too happy with corner black toss cushion. Do I need wool/tweed magenta?

I love colour and want to embrace it with textures all along that boring sofa.

Also, I have dark grey woven leather lumbar cushions for those accent chairs also, to help tie in dark rug.

I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts? {my inspiration is Coca Rocha’s beautiful homes}. I know I’m sounding a bit cookoo about this all. Can anyone relate about “getting it just right?”

Love the zig zag pillow and Mongolian one you already have. Would you consider pulling you chair colors over to the sofa?

Thank you, @gcubed! Yes, it’s just a really hard to find it! It’s a strange rust /wine colour.

Have you looked on Etsy? I’m sure you have but thought I’d mention. I’ve had good luck with pillow covers tgere

Yes! That’s where I’m hanging out now! Lol

love the mongolian pillows and some leather. wool is great idea, not sure about magenta though?

oh, can u share pic of coca rocha inspiration...

    Yes!!

I ended up ordering more of a plum coloured in Harris Tweed. I think I just need a bit of velvet with piping and I’m all set! 😂

These are cushions I went with.

And also these. (Which may be overload and I might put in my master bedroom)

And finally these lumbar woven leather for my MCM accent chairs

A little refresher of the space.

    Hi,

Sorry to come late to the party. You've got a beautiful room going and I wanted to suggest that instead of the wood organic accent you substitute a pouf for texture.

Renee Round Pouf, Teal Velvet · More Info

introducing another color might not work, but I think this comes in other colors

I think this one is too much but I thought you might like to see it

One other thing I wanted to say is that while I appreciate the gestalt of the coffee table unit, they still look crowded to me, and crowding the 2 chairs. Have you ever tried separating them and trying them in different places in the room? Maybe separating them is too much of a desecration to you, but if it's not, I would try the narrower one in lots of other places in the room, even if you need to move the tree, and see if it works.

    Thank you, Italmover!
Yes I can play around with the coffee tables and I LOVE the idea of a pouf. I actually toyed with a sea grass pouf for a while.
The tree is just a temporary fixture for now...
I did end up ordering two pedestal tables for that spot but I could certainly love them outside.
Thank you for!chiming in, and never too late for this party! I love design-lovers’ input!!!

Some updates for y'all. I ended up swapping out the rug with the wool Surya I had my eye on, and am MUCH /happier with it. The other wool rug went into our lower level, and it's perfect down there. I'm still waiting for my pedestal tables. And for stores to open to jazz up my coffee tables. But otherwise, complete!

Beautiful! I like it so much better than the other rug. And the pillows look great too :)

    love the rug!!! and pillows!!

Thank you, @carolae and @theresa! I’m glad I opted for this unique rug! And it doesn’t show anything!! 🙌🙌

Thank you for sharing your progress, Olena! Such a uniquely beautiful room!

Love your new rug. Don't like all the pillows - cheapens your room. Less is more.

Olena, it’s so nice to hear from you! Glad you found THE rug. Love those pedestal tables. How tall are they?

Thank you so much, dsimber, Angel and Bluemarble.
If you’re in the room, the pillows have a different (good) vibe, but I agree they look a bit much in the photo.

imo, the pillows are great. I imagine that they are continually rearranged, assuming your room is used by little ones!

    olena thanked dsimber

    YES! constantly! lol

Your room looks beautiful. LoVE the rug!

Good to hear, I find that happens often, that pictures don't always tell the truth.
