River rock for garden bed edging

This friend is an experienced and very avid perennial and Japanese Maple gardener.

I thought that some of you might be interested in the edging for her beds:

So, a bit of the story behind the inclusion of the river rock s edging:

Their yard slopes to the back on either side, and after installing the west and east beds (part of he east bed shown above) they experienced too much erosion in that mud was routinely being deposited at the end of the beds. So to help with this they decided to make a little "river channel" for excess water (and put the black scalloped border and landscape fabric at the bottom to prevent the soil from getting into the river rock and making weeding almost impossible).

Once they added that "feature" on the east and west beds they felt that for consistency they needed to do the same for this circular bed.
