2 or 3 columns of mosaic feather leaf for vertical accent strip?

Not sure which way to go and hoping to get some input from those who have had more experience seeing finished tile jobs. I am redoing my bathroom and using Bianco Carrara marble tile on the walls with marble finish pieces. On the floor I will use a 2 x 2 octagon porcelain tile that looks bianco carrara.

I am thinking to use a feather leaf mosaic for an accent strip in the tub/shower combo from top of tub, behind shower controls, and up to ceiling with a pencil border on the sides. I will use the same mosaic to fill the inside of a 24" wide x 18" high niche on the other wall. There are 3 columns per 10 x 12 sheet and (each column is made up of two rows of leaves. This is a link to the mosaic:

I am getting conflicting advice on if I should just use 2 columns or the entire width of the sheet 3 for the accent strip. Just 2 makes a narrow strip and just barely extends past the large valve trim I have but will work and 2 tile guys insist just 2 is all I should use and one said 3 would not be symmetrical, which I am not sure i agree with.. I am not sure myself and go back and forth so posting the choices with the sample I have.

Should I use just 2 columns of the feather leaf for the accent strip?

Or should I use the full sheet of 3?

2 columns
3 columns

No to the accent . You are at over kill. What is the bathroom plan and the other materials. What is on the floor, what is the vanity paint or stain? What is the counter top?

been so busy I had not time to check until now but thank you so much for the advice. I am using carrara marble on the walls 12 x 12. And carrara look porcelain mosaic on the floor and trying to decide if I should go with the mini herringbone or the hexagon that is a little bigger than 2" - the 2" was sold out. And I have not picked the countertop but was thinking to get a carrara marble or porcelain that looks like it. Now I need to figure out how to cancel my leaf idea. What is the opinion of these choices? Or the countertop? I feel dazed and confused.

Jan, I am getting a white vanity - very simple with shaker doors. Using 12 x 12 bianco carrara field tile on the walls - 2 walls from floor to ceiling as I have a tub shower combo and that is next to the sink wall. And the other 2 walls will be the same marble tile on the lower half and the upper half will be regular paintted walls painted a very pale gray - called paper white. I will use the same marble trim pieces - chair rail, crown molding and pencil liner around the niche and windows. I thought the accent with the leaf mosaic would be a nice touch but I guess I was wrong. Here are the two walls that will have the tile all the way up. Hard to tell with the mess but that is a tub covered to protect it.

and here is the sink wall just adjacent. The medicine cabinet is in the middle and sink below. The wiindows will be bordered with the same bullnose liner that I will frame the niche in the tub shower you can see to the left the wall that has the greenboard above the goboard. The chair rail will only be used under the greenboard .

PS - the bathroom is only 8 x 8 and we didn't have any options to move things. The tub, toilet and sink vanity will all be in the same spot as it was before. We just removed the separate shower stall that was on opposite wall of sink to open up the room to the left and make room for a linen cabinet. the shower stall took up a huge amount of space for the room but was still too small to be comfortable so we combined it with the tub.

More I think about the leaf mosaic, the more I feel like I dodged a bullet. Thanks to both of you. OMG. Very grateful. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on which I should choose, the mini herringbone or the octagon for the floor. And I have no idea what to do with the counter. I just want to make the counter and floor easy to maintain. I think the marble on the walls won't be too hard and I couldn't get nice trim for porcelain..

I would not mix real marble with fake marble. It will make it obvious that the fake is fake.
