Have you priced out replacing/ repairing the fish tail shingles???? They are still available on the market. And would look far better than any vinyl siding. Your home has double windows in most locations. Shutters were intended to cover individual windows, not simply bracket them as accents. Unless shutters are sized to cover windows properly, they shouldn’t be hung. Color can be interjected into your home’s facade with trim, your door, and landscaping.

Thank you, all! After much discussion, we are going to replace wood shake with vinyl cedar shake AND removing the shutters. Porch and brick color to remain the same.

Have any suggestions on color siding? I personally was thinking flagstone or pacific blue.

Make sure to get a large sample of each color you are considering so you have an accurate idea of its actual color rather than just looking at the color online. I love the flagstone or the Forest (JMO).
