How old is your child? What about, instead, some artwork that's she's created, or pictures that you or she have taken? I really enjoy some 12 x 12 canvas-wrapped prints of places I've visited. A different look, I know, but it would get you square prints in the size you may have in mind, at the price range you're trying to achieve

I find the 3 shelves a bit busy and has more of utility feel vs decorative. Consider 2 floating shelves, or the cute hanging style in second picture. You could also use one long floating shelf, which allows for layering and easy updating. The shelves are well priced at IKEA and I‘d start my search there.

There are lots of on line sources for prints and try Etsy also and frames at IKEA

lexma90, I think that is a great idea! Unfortunately, I doubt my opinionated 12 year old would agree. However, it did give me a few creative thoughts.

IKEA and Etsy are great ideas. And I love all of these shelves. However, I typically don’t entertain the thought of floating shelves. I find hanging them intimidating. Scary.

You could buy some canvases, paint them white, and then Jackson Pollock them with as much or as little black as you want (outside is probably safest). You can practice on scrap paper. To get thin lines you will probably need to water down your black paint to a runny consistency (I'm thinking acrylics).
