I would like to update my kitchen. I don't want to paint the cabinets but I was thinking about black knobs? any thoughts on this idea. Its difficult to see my countertop. Its cream with brown flecks that match the cabinets

I actually kind of like the pulls that you have. Your best bet would be painting the backsplash or tiling. And some light.

Before I read your entire question, my first thought was black. I think it would provide a nice contrast. I'd also repaint the backsplash.

diana beat me to it. was going to mention painting that wall backsplash. that particular greenish/yellow color just doesn't do much.

Make sure the bulbs in your fixtures are 4000K temp.

as for black hardware,,,why? there is nothing else in there w/black.

However, what if you painted the backsplash BlackFox, and then used some matte black hardware? With the wood and the darker wall, I think it would give you some drama.

I see the wall continues over to the dining area, so I'd prob just do that entire wall, and paint the others a soft white.

install some under cabinet lighting if you think it's too dark. under cab light strips are rather easy to do, and aren't expensive.

But, I also like this Dark Clove color! this would be pretty too. paired it some some rich antique bronze hardware.

I just replaced my white and brass knobs with bronze knobs that have a copper highlight and I love them

Black is the new black! ;)

Do you like the black accents your microwave and dishwasher and stove present? Black knobs would compliment all that. But the ones you have blend well now and for me...I would want the beautiful cabinetry to be noticed not their knobs.

Your faucet is modern and the material is brushed stainless steel. Your knobs and pulls should also be brushed stainless steel in a simple style.

The other update will be a new counter with a backsplash up to the cabinetry.

I painted just your hardware black here

Then I painted the wall SW Tricorn Black here

I tried the other colors Beth suggested; Urbane Bronze and Iron Ore but they looked really blue next to your cabinets.

My go to would be either Brushed Stainless or Matte Black

Thank you for your help. The matte black knobs look great. I’m having the kitchen painted and I will post a picture when it’s finished

Here is a picture of our kitchen. We too have honey colored cabinets and switched out our cabinet hardware for oil rubbed bronze and we have dark walls as well.

Accessible beige by Sherwin-Williams it totally transformed the room. I replaced the kitchen lighting with a black matte farmhouse style to match the kitchen knobs. Im waiting for a few more updates to be completed and then I will post more pictures
