How important is it for a loveseat and sofa to match?

We originally had the larger loveseat/sofa on the right. Recently changed our decor to more Modern Glam and then got the smaller one on the left (which goes with the style more) at a consignment store. Decided we liked the smaller one better, but one on the right still provides extra seating so not sure if we should get rid of it and just get a chair. However, not sure if these two go well together or it just looks out of place? Does anyone have an opinion on this? Unsure if getting a swivel or reclining chair for under the window is better? Sorry the photo is not the best, but lighting in back always darkens photo.

*I need to also add that husband likes to watch tv on right area under window with dog next to him. That's why we were thinking a recliner. He won't be comfortable in an accent chair (I don't think) and not sure what other options there are.

Get 2 chairs IMO loveseats are just a big chair with a useless arm rest. No one wants to sit that close if they have a choice.

The styles do clash ... and it would drive me nuts but I don't think it's terrible. You might be able to mitigate with a much larger rug (make sure the front feet of both sofas sit on the rug). Add a large piece of art over the "modern" sofa to highlight that area. Change out the sheers - use either drapes or blinds.

If you have the $$s, I'd switch out the more 'country' sofa for a couple of swivel chairs. The style really depends on how much space you have and how you use the area.

Either way you need a much larger rug.

The only reason we opted for a smaller rug is because our dog has thrashed and dirtied up our former rugs that we couldn't get clean and we didn't want this huge, dirty object being the center of the room. That's another reason we got a medium grey this time so it doesn't show as much dirt.
