Are you talking about a floor transition or a base skirt in the bath? Basically, for a small room that doesn't get wet, it sounds like too much tile and too much going on. Post a picture of room and materials

Typically you don’t have wood floors and tile walls. If you want the wood floors I would do a wood wainscot detail and great wallpaper.

Post some drawings or a picture . IMO a small space needs simplicity ans larger format tiles so without anything to go on I have no idea. Usually I use tile for a baseboard in a tiled room.

Thank you all for advice, I value your expertise. Agree that tile baseboard to wood floor just doesn’t sit right w me. This bathroom spruce up is a small extra project we’re tacking onto full kitchen remodel, so design decisions on it, like keeping wood floor is more bc it’s economical & also bc powder room doesn’t get wet. I will reconsider subway all around & look at wainscoting/beadboard/board & batten idea. Trying to cover hideous “spiderweb” texture applied by previous owner as alternative to stripping 2 layers of wallpaper. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Will post photo when done.
