What color bathroom accessories and bath rug?

Hello. I finally had the bathroom painted Kilimanjaro beige. We love it!
Now I purchased black bathroom rugs to go with the bathroom countertop but now I am wondering if I should have gone with a dark blue or royal blue because of the custom sink.
Since I already purchased the rugs, what color bath accessories should I get? We want the basic tumbler, toothbrush holder/ soap dish etc.

Blue or chrome? We don’t like anything busy like flowers etc. but like abstract designs

    Not a Pro.

I think I would go one large area rug to fit the space rather than all these little rugs.

I knew I should have done this. What color black to go with the countertop?

The rugs look clutter-y to me - I'd remove the two by the sinks, trade the one by the tub for a smaller one, and get a small oval rug for in front of the shower door, maybe in an off-white/cream color. I'd go with light colored accessories - white or off-white/cream.

    No rugs in a bathroom…bath mats? O K.

Paint the cabinets black and then add another color for towels.

These bath mats are too much. Go with a runner in front of the sink. I finally went that route in mine and love it.

    Thank you everyone. 😊

Chrome? It looks like your fixtures are satin or brushed nickel.

I agree on the rugs. 1 rug that does not get wet, and bath mats in front of the tub and shower that are picked up after each use. One runner instead of the two smaller mats if you don't like the large center rug idea. If you put a small stool in the makeup area, a runner won't work.

Agree with most rug suggestions - this room has too many small rugs. I might consider a rug with pattern to add texture to room. As to the bathroom vanity accessories - I’d match your faucets - satin or brushed nickel as Peke suggests.

Too many bathmats! I prefer mine to sort of blend into the floor and not stand out. Do you use the shower and tub at the same time? Just have one bathmat that you move to the tub or shower as needed.

Great ideas! I had no clue that was a makeup area 😂

Marie - so funny! So now that you know what the lower level of counter is meant for, are you going to add a black iron bench to sit under it? might be cute, would give a purpose look to the empty space & you never know, you might use it a time or two for sitting for reasons other than applying makeup 😊

Thank you KW lol 😂 my daughter was laughing at me to. I was going to ask what kind of bench. I am horrible at decorating!

Sooo many choices! Measure space first. Would want to pick one with details that can be seen when bench sitting under counter so nothing like all black etc. consider frame shape & seat upholstery. Coordinate with bath accessories & faucets or with black colors? Either good. - maybe get your rug situation resolved first. A runner in front of vanity ok bc you’d likely be picking up bench to move from under counter rather than sliding it out.

The really good news is that in the future, when you want to change the countertops, your three countertops will be a whole lot cheaper if you can find remnants! If you had one long countertop, you would need to buy a whole slab. My new bathroom countertops will be $40 s.f. so I don't have to buy a whole slab!

I’d add a (patterned) indoor/outdoor runner in front of vanity to compliment a bench. Just use a small mat by tub/shower that can be lifted each time to dry.

A towel ladder would be handy and decorative next to the vanity and Turkish towels are always nice

I never thought of that Peke. That’s good to know!

Maureen you know me. That’s the look we are going for for the rug and basket etc. we want that ethnic feel to it and will be adding some African art, masks etc down the road

I like all of those too!

Glad to hear the ideas helped.
