Updating an Almond/beige bathroom with which gray paint?

We recently purchased a new house. I am working on the dated bathroom. It has almond/light beige tile, toilet and flooring. We are leaving those. Changed out the gold fixtures and accessories to chrome and added a new countertop. Off white/cream. Doesn’t match the almond, but blends OK. I found a shower curtain that works, I think. It has a little gray in it. The vanity is a medium oak. I would like to change the dark brown walls to a gray. Have been looking at BM Revere Pewter, BM Edgecomb gray, and SW Mindful Gray among many others. Very confused. Due to all the beige and almond, I’m guessing I need to stay with a warm gray. Any suggestions are welcomed!

I love gray. And no, it is not over and still going strong. But....in your case you need to work with what you have, so no gray here.

I would do a cream. I would try to match up the lightest color in the floor tiles. Go to a Sherwin Williams’s and/ or Benjamin Moore. I think what they have in their neutral/ white family can work. Bring home the swatches to get an idea of what can work with your lighting.

    Then you can get samples.

Grey isn't going to work with what you already have. Creamy tones or perhaps the right sage green.

What is the color/type of new counter you added?

The counter is a little lighter than the almond fixtures but blends. Here is a photo.

Consider changing lights out to 3K or 4K LED to tone done the yellow. Make any lighting changes before you paint, it will make a difference.

I agree cream would be a good choice for the walls, but if you're committed to gray, look at Benjamin Moore Collingwood.

It'll be easier to pick a new color after you prime the walls with a couple coats of white primer. Change your lighting if it's part of your new plan before finalizing a color choice. Gray is trending out in some areas, but it's quick to paint a bathroom when you want something different.

The above idea of the green would be the best solution..

Thank you everyone for some great ideas. There is no natural light, but it really isn't as yellow as it looks in the photos. Probably a really good idea to prime first and then look again at my swatches. The gray idea came from another post about a bathroom with almond fixtures. In that discussion it was mentioned that white or cream makes the almond/beige fixtures and tiles look dirty. They had finally decided on a gray color (SW Mindful Gray) that had some warm tones in it. From the photos, it looked good, but I know it is difficult to tell in a photo. I think if I go that direction, I might need to rethink the shower curtain.

trying to redo my bathroom.....have you finished your project?

Pick a blue or green color to work with what you have. Not a gray. And gray is trending down despite what some here think.

Go darker on the walls and paint the vanity the color of the countertop, in a gloss finish.

My dated bath with almond fixtures and tile is painted Woodlawn Colonial gray from Valspar. I love this color but I don't love the almond fixtures. It's been on the list for years to redo, just hasn't happened yet. The paint has helped in the space.

I would match one of the grays in the shower curtain. Don't be afraid to go dark.
