If it's not too late...

I'd probably leave the MW where it is and move the sink to within 12" to 18" from the far right end of that run. A centered sink significantly reduces the functionality of that run of counter.

Regarding stools at the peninsula, add 15" past the backs of the cabinets & decorative doors & molding. That's assuming, of course, you have the space for it! What's on the other side of the peninsula, a table space? Something else?

However, without an overhead view (2D with measurements) and a sketch of the entire floor, I cannot say for certain about either suggestion...it's all in the measurements and what else is in the spaces.

I like that location for the microwave. Be sure to put a filler between microwave and fridge panel to allow the microwave to open properly.

MW drawer or regular MW? If a drawer, OK as they are easily used.

If a regular MW, check it out first. You have to lean over pretty far to use the controls and you have to either lean even farther over or reach blindly into a regular MW to put dishes in/take dishes out of the MW.

***Suggest changing to drawer base cabinets to right of refrigerator.

***Suggest changing the 3 wall cabinets, on the wall between sink & range, to 2 cabinets; will save $$$ and look less busy.

Thank you both for your suggestions. Mdln, the lower cupboards have pullouts behind the doors which will be the pantry for canned goods, etc. I will see what two wall cabinets will look like. Buehl, I think we will be fine with the microwave below the counter. My friend has this set up and I’ve checked it out myself. Thank you!
