Unknown plant bottom smallest leaves dying

I got this plant about 3 weeks ago, not sure what exactly it is although ID apps tell me it’s in the giant taro family.
Since I brought it home, the smallest (bottom) leaves turned yellow slowly one by one and fell off. I’m worried this will continue because the next smallest is mottling one colour :((
but what is giving me hope is that it also sprouted a new leaf during that time in the middle.
how can I keep this plant happy? And does anyone know what it is?
