I probably wouldn't put it right up against the tiles, but on a nearby wall - even if only separated by 12", I think it would look great.

..I think because it's of similar size of the pattern..the repeat, they call it? .too similar to size of the checkered tiles..

should be bigger..or much smaller(but I'd prefer bigger)..or yes, have separation between the two...

I think it looks absolutely fine with the tile, which there’s only a stripe of. It’s not like the whole shower is done in a checkerboard! I really like it. 👍🏼

Btw, the shower curtain will be hiding the tile anyway. 😬

Actually I agree with Sammy..might be we're too concentrated looking on it being right next to that stripe, while the whole room will be covered with it.

Maybe bigger photo of the bathroom will be helpful.

IMO the blue paint is the wrong color if it matched the tiles then I think the wall paper would work. Maybe just a apint that matches the tile and then the wall paper.

oh yes its wrong color. but then again darker would look like its black... where would I paint if I got a little bit...

As a former wallpaper designer and wallpaper company owner, I can say the wallpaper will look fine. Pair it with a simple white shower curtain.
