Additional question! If I add a rug, should it be square or round? Thanks!

So this chair is too big / table too small but if I got the scale right and added a rug, would this look cozy? You see it when you walk in the front door

I think your little table is perfect for that spot. Perhaps you can bring color in with the accessories. I also love the look of crisp lined white linen pinched pleat curtains. They would contrast nicely with the dark wood of your table. A bigger, more colorful rug in front of the door to coordinate with colorful accessories. As for the chair, would anyone ever actually sit there? But it is difficult to see from your pics what this room is used for nor ascertain your style.

Looks like you already have a chest (?) against the wall facing the door? If so, you might just want to consider a bench for under the window and a new window treatment to refresh the space. Is this the back door entry?

Thanks so much, yes this is the back door entry but also visible as you enter the front door. Ok I’ll add a round rug. I guess I’ll try a bench and new curtains.

the space isn‘t really used but I don’t want it empty. Theres a desk on the wall to the right Which is only used once in a while.

No, This is too good to see not putting a chair and small table instead of the console table. It is Good. No Issue it is front door or back door it is nice look to see all.

I don't know your style but this would be a good place for a bench that the style is more unexpected. You could also add a colorful cushion if you wanted some punch of color. Because of the window and the door I'd probably stay with a backless bench for less busyness.

Don't know your size needed but just to give you some food for thought below. As far as a rug. Take blue painters tape and tape it on the floor to give you a sense of size needed and if you like the shape. I'd get the bench first as that could change your feelings as far as a rug shape and pattern.
