Delfina, I have to call bs on your logic. Being honest and being rude are not mutually exclusive. Honestly, does no one know how to say, "Not my style, I personally wouldn't keep them"? Or you might say, " Maybe you should give them away so someone who could appreciate them as-is could enjoy them". But saying, "OMG, WHY DO YOU OWN THOSE BUTT-ASS UGLY THINGS!?!?!" or something of that nature is rude. You don't have to lie, just ask yourself if you'd like people attacking your things. We're all quick to dish it out, and say WE could take it, but once it happens to us it's a different story. Being online doesn't make you exempt from being a decent human being. I doubt you'd say the same things to the person face to face.

Using chalk paint I found to be very easy. No priming is needed. On some sites they say to wax but I used a poly eurathane in a satin which makes it a bit more durable. Google chalk paint on youtube and watch a couple of videos. That's what I did before doing my first project.

Our Crystal cabinets have adjustable height roll-out shelves -- we have never changed their purpose in 10 years, nor the height of the drawers, but we did select their height when we installed them, and it is nice to know that we can change the height if needed. However, if I were managing a retro-fit, I would first check with the manufacturer of the cabinets to see if they would sell you just the inserts. And if they are not adjustable, chances are they would work for you as well as they have worked for others. Check the weight permitted as well as the hardware -- roll-out shelves need to hold a lot of weight whether it is pots and pans or stacks of bowls or bottles/cans/jars. The wider the shelf, the stronger it needs to be. I was not impressed with the mechanism used by Kraftmaid when I looked at it a few years ago. My house came with inexpensive Kraftmaid cabinets (before soft-close drawers and roll outs) and one of the first things that broke was the drawer supports for the silverware drawer where I kept my stainless cutlery. Then when I was considering a pantry retrofit, I thought I would find a good product in Kraftmaid -- I would use Rev-a-shelf, or one of the other retrofit brands first, but consider whether you can find someone to install these, too, and how much it would cost compared to factory installation -- the cost of roll-out shelves and roll-out drawers was about the same when factory installed, but the cost of retro-fit would be higher.

Appliances need breathing room so I'd not recommend sticking the back of one into a wall. Bath cabinets are not as deep as kitchen cabinets and you may well have ended up with the wrong size. If your budget will not permit you to replace the base cabinets, you might be able to make a change next to the appliances and still use them. If your room is wide enough to do so, you might want to remove the countertop, pull the base cabinet away from the wall, add a horizontal support board to the wall and then replace the countertop with a countertop that is deep enough for your purposes or build a shelf behind/above the countertop to cover the space between the countertop and wall.
