Outdoor Lighting - Need Advice (what looks good / does not rust)

Hi all, we are trying to select a pair of lights to flank our garage door. We have a spanish style house, the garage door to be installed will be a stained natural wood. We are about half a mile from the beach and so I've noticed aluminum fixtures rust over (painted over a few with rustoleum since - amazing stuff).

I've heard brass does not rust, and these look really good (option 1):

Although they are brass it does say "extreme conditions may deteriorate finish".

We've heard "composite" finishes are a good bet; we like these (option 2):

Option 1 is $740 / ea and option 2 is $225 / ea. My worry is when I hear "composite" finish I think of cheap plastic. But maybe the Feiss light is a higher grade of composite. We saw a few composite lights over the weekend and they all seemed very cheap looking.

Am I crazy for not choosing option 2? Option 1 does seem more appealing if, in fact, brass would not rust. If it would seems like option 2 is the obvious choice given price.

Any other ideas for non-rusting lights with a similar look would be appreciated.
