Hummingbird Garden

How close can a hummingbird feeder be to a seed feeder?

I have a feeder pole tree outside my window right now, and I am really enjoying the cardinals, titmouses, chickadees, finches, etc. It’s the same spot I put a hummingbird feeder last year, though. I have seen various answers on the internet. Has anyone put a hummingbird feeder on the same pole as a seed feeder (I mostly see that as not a good idea)? How far apart do you space the seed and nectar feeders from each other?

I keep mine around ten ft apart ( one on each side of the arbor) and provided some resting places for the hummers too. They seem to like a “ lookout”. That seems to work for me. I do agree that they won’t really come with a other feeder on the same hook area

Thanks! That would be great if I could put both types of feeders that close together. :)

I still have hummers coming to feed on blossoms that are about 12-15 ft. from the seed feeder.
