Please can some help me with furniture for my living room.

i would like to maximize seating and need two bookcases.

I plan on getting rid of the sofa and bookcase in the picture.

having A hard time choosing a color for the sofa because of the odd colored carpet.

Finally (almost) settled on a black Velvet sectional going Across the wall with the current sofa and the empty wall and bookcases on the third wall. (The one with the single bookcase)

what do you think?
