I love the idea of an long ottoman as a coffee table, but it would have to be in leather or something else that cats can't scratch on. An upholstered fabric ottoman would be considered a cat scratch post in their world. Still looking for a new small scale coffee table or ottoman (48" or less x 21" or less) and new end table and chair side table. All have to be super small. The end table needs to be less than 17" wide. I definitely want to add more texture. I was thinking next to the love seat I'd put a basket for a blanket or magazines to start adding some texture. I have added the lamp to the corner. Our ceilings are 18' tall. I took another picture of the tapestry. Please let me know if you still think it's hanging too high. Side note: I wanted to hang long curtains to frame that front window but the husband didn't want them. :( So that is not going to happen. Please keep the ideas coming as I'm on my own with trying to figure this stuff out. It doesn't come naturally to me. Thank you!

Go for round tape off the sofa measure meets on the floor ,then tape off coffee table to get the right size,def I would go with round,no knee bumping with people trying to get onto the corner area of the sofa

One view of room makes it difficult to comment on sizes, but suggest a larger rug coloured background with bold and dark geometric pattern. Apply similar dark colour to fireplace (mantle only) to visually connect the two and establish a lower, horizontal feel to room - again difficult to judge ceiling height from photo. Possible horizontal group of smaller, colourful, framed and same sized art works (prints) wall mounted above mantel. Consider the type/duration of light from sunroom(?) - morning or afternoon exposure, in your colour choices.

2/3 the length of the sofa is what is often recommended so that people can have a place to put their drinks, and so that if someone is sitting in the middle of the sofa, they can get out around the table more easily. However, I think if you go with something between 45-55" long, you should be fine. Also you can consider two smaller bunching tables, which might be more versatile if you want that.
