Updating exterior of tired Colonial

Hello, like many other posters, we are looking to update our roof, and while at it, update the siding, and possibly brick(?).
We have a two-story Colonial with brick on the first level and vinyl siding on the second story.
We are trying to bring life to our tired house that has not been updated since it was built in the late 60's.
Anyone have an ideas? Open to all suggestions!
