How set are you on this floor?

I would recommend picking the countertop first, and finding a floor to coordinate with it. The countertop is usually more of the "star" of the kitchen than the floor is.

Like a good TV show, you cast the star first, and the supporting cast to support the star, not the other way around.

pick something to provide contrast. even in an all white kitchen. if you love that floor and are certain then try to go at least to a medium shade counter. If the floor is not purchased , go back and maybe get a darker floor and counter/backsplash can stay whitish if you desire.

Thank you for your feedback! I had a really hard time finding a floor because I don’t like gray and I am not doing hardwood (I know I’m not easy!). So at this point, I feel like I’ve exhausted most floor options and am hoping to find a coordinating countertop.

You pick things in the order of their availability of selection. Appliances (least), countertops (fair selection), floor, (more selection), paint (unlimited selection). Now your choices are always expanding, not narrowing.

I know what you’re saying. Does someone have a tile or countertop that they would recommend that is not gray? Anything?
