Bath remodel: using porcelain tile on shower wall and bathroom floor

last modified: 4 years ago

I really love the white porcelain tile (glossy) that I selected for the bathroom remodel. It is a small (5x7) bathroom, so in order to maintain consistency, I want to use the same tile on the bathroom floor. Needless to say, there is not a ton of walking around space. My contractor is advising not to use the shower tile because it is too slippery. Is using porcelain tile on the floor ok? If so, what can I do to reduce the slickness? TIA
