With the information you have provided, everyone will tell you their favorite color. Anne likes blue. Someone else will like green. And a third person will like purple. I once knew someone who referred to the color "plaid" (cringe!)

With a white bed and room, you can pick any color you like. Find a nice spread first and then get the sheets.

Keep the SHEETS to the best you can afford, do then in white and whatever else you want on the bed? Use some color. Find some art, or a rug and pull color from that.

White on white is a favorite of mine. Feels clean and the varying shades of white with texture are soothing and sooooo pretty.

I don't want to upset you, but you will end up replacing sheets multiple times through the years. Just get something you like to see when you turn back the covers to get in!

Dear all, thank your so much for your responses, all of them good, I am going to post a photo of my bed and the room, you will see I have a lovely oriental oil on canvas painting above the head and another one in front over the chest of drawers with the gray and blue shades. Hence, I am thinking of white sheets and accessorize it with blue shades. Again Many thanks
