Any veterans out there have tips?

Late frosts and/or cold weather is not really much of a handicap to plants that are fully hardy for your zone, although they do need to be gradually hardened off to be properly acclimated before planting out. And may still suffer foliar damage even after that, should cold weather hit again. What would be more of a concern is the workability of the soil that early in your area and the soil temps. If the ground is still frozen or overly saturated with rain or snowmelt, then obviously you need to wait until all that is past. And if the soil remains cold, early season transplants will not do much of anything anyway - cold soil temps do not encourage root development and establishment and plants remain vulnerable.

Your best bet may be to wait until conditions in your area support planting out and forgo the potential for flowering this season.
