No but I’ve always wanted to. I don’t think propagating these guys buy seed is popular because they’re soooo freakin easy to do by cuttings. I’ve always wondered what a tiny baby String of Pearls looked like.

I found a pic online of a baby String of Pearls! Looks like it has one cotyledon and then pearl leaves after that. So cute🌱🙂.

Not sure if String of Dolphins can be propagated by seed because it’s a hybrid?

I can‘t image that growing String of Pearls by seed would be any different than any other succulent. Keep moist, warm, and indirect light.

I‘ve never had success with propagating with just the leaves, but apparently it can be done. I have yet to see it, maybe I’ve just never noticed.

Dolphins is more of curiosity. As you mentioned, it's a hybrid.

I have a bunch of string of pearls I'm rooting right now. I pulled some pearls off to have more stem to tuck in the dirt. I threw all the pearls on some potting mix and have been misting them. A few of the pearls have developed a root and I'm curious to see how much farther it goes.

I've heard the single heart leaf from Hoya Kerri will never grow any new stems, so that's part of why I'm trying the pearls, to see if the same holds for them. lol.

I also collected seed from my Senecio pelegrinus but growing from cuttings just makes so much more sense. I have given way so many cuttings and threw out a bunch because mine was getting unruly over the winter. Growing from seed is a lot of work!
