Mixing Metals and lighting—how’d I do?

I have an inspiration photo from a house in my neighborhood. It’s light and airy and pulls in gold tones, which I love. Now, I’m trying to see how I can merge it with my black chairs in the eating nook to the side. I created this image to visualize. Does it work? Are the lighting styles too different? I don’t want too matchy matchy but want to tie together the black/gold/wood tones!

IMO the lighting does not work together the pendants are heavy looking and the DR fixture is light as a feather. I aslo really hate edison bulbs and I think a DR light should ligt the table not the ceiling. I think black and gold work very well together but not that lighting. Either choose a smaller pendant style with LEDs 4000K or get a different DR fixture but the issue there is the table is small so maybe something just smaller . I would change the pendants to smaller

I like the look but I might continue shopping for a slightly more robust fixture for over the table or order it and check the true proportions. Just hard to tell in a mock-up when the scale is guesstimated. The styles, materials, and tones all work very well together. I personally like the size of the pendants over the island and how the chains of the island and dining fixture coordinate. It's a large island and they make a great statement.

I think matching is a personal preference. Generally, I think of lighting as jewelry and you have a bit more freedom. I do like plumbing fixtures to all match. Sterile might be a bit strong of a description but sometimes some of the warmth of ORB is nice (especially if you have warm colors as you do djmama). All stainless can look really nice too. I don't think there is anything wrong with either choice:)

Yes, you can have black hardware and a different finish for the faucet. My question is why you wouldn't go with a brushed nickel faucet, it would go much better with your stainless steel appliances. If you choose chrome for the faucet you will be adding another finish that doesn't tie into anything else.

Thanks! I was more worried about the tones as you mention. Images not to scale. Our table will be 4.5 feet and I think that light is 27” diameter.
