Find a handyman or carpenter and have his go to HD and match the grain pattern with oak that is there. Have him route the OG on the top. Attach it to the flat section. Use a cove bit to made the rounded edge. Or go to Woodcraft show him a picture of all sides buy the oak there, buy the bits there and ask about a woodworker that will make it for you for a price. This is not old growth or quarter sawn oak this is regular oak. It may be 100 year regular oak but the wide board on the top I would not buy and get a piece that look more like the side legs because it would work better if the boards were cut on a 45.

Kevin - best advice for furnishing your condo on a budget. Don't buy anything unless you need it and/or love it. Ex. wait until you find a rug that you love and can afford. Check Craigslist if you need something but can't find anything that you love. As long as you can resell an item for what you paid, it's safe to buy. Craigslist is my top source for anything made of wood or metal. The quality of similar products in stores just doesn't compare. Desk, table, chairs, bookshelf, TV stand, end tables, bed frame/headboard, etc.

I can see why you are ready to commit to such a huge undertaking to make the floors look right...but it looks like from your pics that are two pretty different looks...that go well with the floor choices in each area...so maybe the different floors are okay...the issue might be solve by doing a different threshold between ... Perhaps a strip of inlaid white marble on the pass thru doorway...it is really hard to see from the pics how the spaces portrayed relate to each other..
