I have old pine dresser, it is or was a beautiful piece, but the wood is so soft it has scratches all over the top from my cats & maybe me! I haven't thought about painting it, hmmmmmm not sure what color, I'd probably have to sand the top unless I liked the antique look. Which I do. This gave me ideas, for the future. :)
